What does this globally recognised certification course entail?
You will gain a fundamental understanding of how GenAI and large language models (LLMs) can be applied in software testing. By participating in the imbus course and obtaining ISTQB® certification, you will demonstrate to your stakeholders and customers that your company is ready to make the most of GenAI in software testing while effectively managing the specific risks and ethical issues associated with autonomous, generative systems.
What skills will you gain in the “Testing with Generative AI” training course?
Introduction to Generative AI for Software Testing
- Basics of and experimenting with large language models (LLMs), tokenization, context windows, as well as multimodal capabilities and prompts
- Different applications of Generative AI (GenAI) in software testing, distinguishing AI chatbot from LLM-powered test tools
Effective Software Testing using Prompt Engineering
- Craft effective, structured prompts for GenAI in software testing.
- Gain hands-on experience with prompt engineering techniques for software test tasks and apply them.
Managing Risks of Generative AI in Software Testing
- Identify and mitigate hallucinations, reasoning errors, and biases when testing with GenAI
- Address the data privacy and security issues of GenAI in software testing
- Consider the energy consumption and environmental impact of GenAI in software testing
- Understand the AI regulations, standards and best practices for an ethical, transparent, and secure GenAI use in software testing
LLM-Powered Test Infrastructure for Software Testing
- GenAI architecture like Retrieval-Augmented Generation and GenAI agents
- The process to fine-tune LLMs for software test tasks
- Large Language Model Operations (LLMOps) concepts for deploying and managing LLMs in software testing
Deploying and Integrating Generative AI in Test Organizations
- A structured roadmap for integrating GenAI into test processes
- Organizational transformation for GenAI integration into test processes
What goals does the training pursue - and how will it benefit your daily work?
Specialists in all testing disciplines can benefit from GenAI in two complementary ways: by using GenAI chatbots to receive instant responses to queries, and by using LLM-powered applications integrated into test tools.
This course supports you in both uses, as by participating in this course, you will:
- understand the fundamental concepts, capabilities and limitations of generative AI.
- enhance your practical skills in prompting large language models for software testing.
- gain insight into the risks and mitigations of using generative AI for software testing.
- gain insight into the applications of generative AI solutions for software testing.
This will enable you to contribute effectively to defining and implementing a generative AI strategy and roadmap for software testing within an organisation.
How your organisation will benefit from GenAI Testing
Gain the knowledge you need to future-proof your software production with this certification!
Your company benefits from more effective, AI supported testing strategies. These strategies complement traditional methods by drawing on AI’s specific strengths, such as improved defect detection. By applying AI standards, you can transparently manage issues like bias, model validation, the limits of automated decision making, and the complex, dynamic behaviour of AI agents. This enables your teams to enhance test planning and strategy, manage and mitigate risks, and develop more robust and reliable AI powered software solutions. As a result, you achieve higher quality, more dependable tests and strengthen your competitive position.
What prior knowledge will help you get the most out of the „ISTQB® Certified Tester - Testing with Generative AI“ training course?
- The course contents are based on profound knowledge of the contents of the courses ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level. We therefore recommend to participate in the “ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level“ training course prior to attending, or to repeat the contents of the current version of the syllabus.
- No programming skills are required!
Technical requirements:
- Laptop or tablet (provided by the customer)
- Stable internet connection (e.g. Wi-Fi)
- Already running on it: at least two accounts of generative multimodal AIs (text and image; e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
- Recommended: A google-account for using Gemini and NotebookLM)
After registering for a virtual classroom training course: you will receive a detailed description of the technical requirements and the software used for the virtual classroom with your registration confirmation.
