What can you expect from this course?

You can perfectly apply your skills as a Foundation Level certified ISTQB® Certified Tester in the automotive environment and are familiar with the testing of E/E systems in the automotive environment on the basis of compliant and established standards.

Goals of participating in ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level Specialist Certified Automotive Software Tester

Software quality assurance in the automotive industry follows specific standards and must ensure the technical feasibility of tests in specialized test environments. This training supports you in the systematic transfer of the proven test methodology from the ISTQB® Certified Tester Standard to the automotive industry. Standards to be observed, typical test approaches and requirements for the test environments are covered in detail.

With the knowledge gained in the course, you will be able to adapt the known test techniques to the specific project requirements, take into account the basic requirements of the relevant standards (Automotive SPICE®, ISO 26262, etc.) when selecting suitable test techniques, support the test team in the risk oriented planning of test activities, apply known elements of structuring and prioritization, and apply the virtual test methods (for example MiL, SiL, HiL, ) in test environments.

Prerequisites for participating in the course

The training course dovetails with the contents of the “ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level“ syllabus. We therefore recommend to participate in the “ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level“ training course prior to attending, or to repeat the contents of the current version of the syllabus.

During registration, you can book your participation in the corresponding certification examination.
For admission to the exam, you need the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate.
