News from the innovation project HolmeS³

On November 18, the project meeting of the "HolmeS3" project for safeguarding autonomous vehicles took place.

The technology project HolmeS³ started in September 2020 [link to old news] as part of the initiative "Artificial Intelligence - Autonomous Mobility" of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy (StMWi). Project partners are the Software Engineering Laboratory for Safe and Secure Systems at Regensburg University of Technology (OTH), Elektronische Fahrwerksysteme GmbH (EFS) and imbus AG.

The meeting on November 18 focused on the mutual presentation and discussion of the interim results achieved in the first year of the project. Central topics were:

  • User studies and user-centered workflow
  • FuSi, SotiF and causality
  • Test management for causal, scenario-based testing
  • Structural Causal Models (SCMs) for cut-in scenarios

Within the HolmeS³ project, imbus AG is responsible for the practical and tool-based implementation of the methodology with TestBench CS [Link]. At the project meeting, it was demonstrated how the individual, currently existing methodology modules interact in an integrated manner in the TestBench-based tool chain.

The HolmeS³ innovation project will run until mid-2023, and the result will be a solution for scenario-based testing built on TestBench.
