Tilo Linz receives German Award for Software Quality

Congratulations to our board member!

The ASQF, the TAV (Test, Analysis and Verification) specialist group of the Gesellschaft für Informatik (German Informatics Society) and the German Testing Board (GTB) are awarding the "German Prize for Software Quality" for the second time in a row.

This year, the award goes to Tilo Linz and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Spillner and was ceremoniously presented during the GTB's 20th anniversary celebration last week in Hamburg.

Tilo Linz is a board member and co-founder of imbus AG and has been active in the field of software quality assurance for more than 30 years. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Spillner has been active in the field of software development and testing in practice and research for over 40 years. He taught and conducted research in software engineering at Bremen University of Applied Sciences until March 2017.

Over many years, both have contributed significantly to software quality assurance being perceived and established as a specialist discipline and professional profile.  "Spillner-Linz" has almost become a catchphrase in the testing community. With their different perspectives, both have shaped the profession of test engineer and, not least with their book »Software Testing Foundations« methodically underpins the ISTQB curriculum in education and training.
