Project background:
MoReq2 was developed as a further development of MoReq in a joint project between Serco Consulting (United Kingdom) and imbus AG (Germany) on behalf of the European Commission and the DLM Forum.
MoReq2 is a Model Requirements Specification for the Management of Electronic Records and defines the minimum requirements for modern record management systems.
Project stages:
The first part of the project task for imbus was to ensure the testability of the MoReq2 requirements by carrying out testability reviews. The second part was to design a generic test framework. This test framework allows the developers, testers and users to verify the conformity of ERMS (Electronic Record Management System) implementations to the MoReq2 requirements (compliance testing).

By becoming involved in the development process for the requirements at an early stage, imbus was able to constructively support the definition of requirements and, in close cooperation with Serco Consulting, to provide information about the testability and clarity of the requirements.
Once the testability review had been completed, a test framework was drawn up. At this stage, all the requirements underwent a consistency test. The test cases were given concrete form by use of test data. Specifically for this purpose, a Test Data Repository was set up to describe all the test data that was used. The test data structure was designed in accordance with the guidelines for the MoReq2 metadata model.
The MoReq2 test framework was accepted by the European Commission on 4 th April 2008.
At the DLM Forum Members` Meeting in Ljubljana/Slovenia on 8 th /9 th April, Thomas Rumi, Manager of the imbus Test Lab, presented the newly-developed MoReq2 compliance test framework, which has also now been officially accepted by the European Commission.
Around 90 participants at the DLM Forum Meeting responded positively to the presentation of the imbus test material. The company PROJECT Consult, led by the internationally-recognised expert Dr. Ulrich Kampffmeyer, compiled a report on the test material. This involved examining the test material with regard to consistency, completeness and clarity. The imbus developers can be more than satisfied with the results: the requirements for a compliance test regime have been appropriately fulfilled to the complete satisfaction of the report team.

Project results:
The MoReq2 test framework is analogous to the standard for many different modules, and as an element of the MoReq2 standard, it has been compiled in the English language.
