September 2013: Service bicycles and e-bikes

The employees are provided on request with bicycles and e-bikes for the distance between home and the work place as well as for rides during the work day.

November 2013: Pilot project infrared panel heating system

Electrically operated infrared panel heating systems are installed in two rooms of the more than 300 years old half-timber house at the headquarter in Moehrendorf in order to be able to cover the heating requirements from now on by means of green electricity/ self-produced solar electricity instead of fossil energy sources.

December 2013: Increased use of video and web conferences

By expanding and increasingly using IT infrastructure for video conferences, web meetings and virtual teams the approximately 230 employees can reduce journeys between the five locations of the company to a necessary minimum.

March 2014: This first hybrid car in the fleet

From now on the employees in Moehrendorf can drive journeys in the greater Nuremberg/Fuerth/Erlangen area emission-free. For this purpose the first hybrid car of a planned future fleet is available. When it is fully charged the 150 HP strong car can drive between 60 and 80 kilometres in pure electric mode. It is re-charged with self-produced photovoltaic electricity.
