The founding of the MoReq Governance Board (MGB) in October 2008 expanded the role of the MoReq2 project within the DLM Forum and established the MoReq2 test regime as an answer to the growing demand for a certification procedure. When the DLM Forum founded the MoReq Governance Board, it entrusted the MGB wiht the following tasks:
- Administration of MoReq2 certification tests
- Brand protection for MoReq2
- Coordination of “Chapter 0” amendments and country-specific translations
- Coordination of the MoReq2 testing and certification regimes
- Further development of MoReq2 specifications, test frameworks and XML schemata
