As part of the ESSI-Initiative the European Commission has supported imbus in the execution of their process improvement experiment Automated Testing of Graphical User Interfaces (PIE No. 24306)
The aim of this project was to optimize our process for test execution on applications using graphical user interfaces and to increase the degree of test automation by using appropriate tools.
The project was started in March 1997 and was completed successfully after a duration of 12 months in March 1998.

Automating tests often requires great efforts in the test design phase, and a high degree of know-how for test programming. To "preserve" this knowledge and to make it accessible to less proficient test tool users, test case library was assembled The library contains templates for test scripts, extensions of the test script language of WinRunner and standardized test cases for GUI tests with Mercury WinRunner under Windows 95/NT. We are making these results accessible to all interested parties with the free version 1.0 of this test case library. |
