Software QS Day 2009: Test Center Bundles Test Competencies

Möhrendorf, Germany, July 2009 – For the 17th time, the Software QS Day will be building a bridge between theory and practice. With the slogan “Test Centers – Set-up, Operations, Experiences”, experts will be reporting on their experiences with test centers in the course of specialist presentations, tutorials, and workshops. Anyone interested can now enroll online for this two-day conference.

The luggage chaos at Heathrow Airport, a liter of gas for just three cents, or a French health insurance company that paid out twice for hospital services – in each case, it was possible to trace the root cause to a software defect. Companies often lose a lot of time and money because of defective software. To avoid this, more and more companies are deploying test centers as central units for software testing and quality assurance. imbus AG, the host of the Software QS Day, has taken this development as a good reason to make test centers the main focus of this year’s event. The presentations and in-depth sessions will cover a broad spectrum of requirements that result from test centers or have to be fulfilled by them. On this subject, Klaus Vitt, the CIO of the IT System House of the German Job Center, will be reporting on the German Job Center’s IT strategy, and the central role that their test center plays in providing quality assurance, especially in respect of the realignment of their application landscape towards a service-oriented architecture (SOA).

In addition, the speakers will include: Dr. Christian Brandes, IT System House for the German Job Center, Rüdiger Loos, Elektrobit Automotive GmbH, Michael Stetter and Andreas Kock, GJC Gändinger & Jörder Consulting GmbH, Matthias Rasking, Accenture GmbH, Dr. Timo Messarius, Logica Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Sven Schirmer, beck et al. projects GmbH, Dr. Andreas Werner, Gothaer Systems GmbH, Karl Doppler, Henkel Central Eastern Europe GmbH, Antje Bosak, Logica Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Matthias Zieger, Microsoft Germany GmbH, Dr. Gregor Schumann, Telefónica o2 Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, Thomas Rossner, imbus AG, Christian Graf, imbus AG.

If you book before September 4, 2009, you only pay the early-booker price of EUR 850 instead of the full price of EUR 950. About the Software QS Day

imbus AG has been hosting the Software QS Day every year since 1993. An appropriate slogan is carefully selected, and this provides the subject for top-class specialists to make presentations and provide in-depth information about a particular aspect of software testing. On the two conference days, IT managers, software development managers, test coordinators, test leaders, test managers, project managers, and experienced software testers have the opportunity to deal intensively with the subject of software quality assurance. Today the Software QS Day is one of the most significant events in the German conference calendar for software testing and software quality assurance. You can find more information about the presentations, tutorials, and workshops, as well as the chance to enroll, by going to www.qs-tag.de.
